IMPORTANT:
Everyone who skates at Shields, must have a signed waiver on file with us.
No exceptions!
* Anyone under 18 Must have a parent or guardian sign the waiver.
* 18 and over may sign their own waivers given that they produce proper ID.
* All waivers must be signed in front of a Shields Skate staff member, or notarized by a Notary Public

Shields requires that helmets be worn in the park at all times!!!

Shields Skatepark is a proud to be a no-smoking zone. For everyone's health, there is no smoking in or around the building (including the parking area!) Thanks for cooperating!

Okay, I just delivered a skater to the facility and have an hour or two to kill...now what?
If you want to hang around and read, that's fine...but there are also a ton of things to do around Flemington, most within minutes of the Skatepark. Walk around the historic downtown area, go to the famous outlets or the stores... take a look at flemington-nj.com before you come! But please let your skater know where you will be and have a way you can be contacted by your skater.

Lessons
Learning from a pro is the best way for new skaters to make the transition from frustration to fun!
Call the park for more information about our pro lesson packages for your child - and maybe even for you!
Parties
Have your childs birthday party at shields! Parties are usually scheduled on Saturday or Sunday during one of the regularly scheduled sessions (which gives you TWO HOURS of park time for your bash!) Or, parties may also be held on weekdays in one of our four hour sessions. Inline skates, skateboards and scooters are allowed. BMX parties can be held Saturday's from 6-8 pm. About Safety
While Shields makes every effort to maintain a safe, clean skatepark environment, there is inherent risk in skating. Shields recommends skaters wear full safety equipment of the best quality at all times. Helmets are required at all times while in the skatepark.  Additional protection such as, kneepads, elbow pads, wrist guards, are all a good idea.
